About this event

Local 4 meteorologist emeritus Paul Gross was born in Detroit and has spent his entire life and career right here in southeast Michigan.  A proud University of Michigan graduate, Paul is one of only six meteorologists in the world to ever be named a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society, an AMS Certified Consulting Meteorologist, and an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.  He was awarded eleven Emmys during his forty year career by the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, and his 2016 climate change webcast that aired live onClickOnDetroit.com earned a first-place award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.  Paul follows the science of global warming very carefully, and frequently gives lectures to share the scientific truth about Earth’s changing climate.  He now consults in the legal field, and has testified in court as a meteorology expert witness nearly four dozen times.

The TRUTH About Global Warming

There is so much disinformation about global warming that the public has no idea what to think about this critically important subject.  Paul Gross was among the earliest broadcast meteorologists to report on climate change, did so regularly during his forty years at WDIV-TV, and is one of the nation’s leaders in teaching the truth about this science without the politics.

Paul will discuss with us the history of this science (spoiler alert:  it’s not a recent discovery), what’s true and what’s not true, and the ramifications of the warming on our local weather…and it’s more than just the weather.  Plenty of time will be allowed for questions and discussion.
